Volunteer

Teen and adult volunteers play an important role as partners in Denton Public Library's mission to build community by promoting lifelong learning, encouraging human connections, and sharing resources. Volunteers must pass a background check and will receive on the job training.

Adult Volunteers

To become an adult volunteer, please create an account on Galaxy Digital and complete a background check through the library's introductory slideshow DPL 101: Volunteer Basics. You can also view current library volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact one of the Adult Volunteer Coordinators. We look forward to working with you!

Or, if you'd like to attend an in-person orientation, check our events page for times and locations. The orientation is not intended for those seeking to complete court-ordered community service.
