Teen and adult volunteers play an important role as partners in Denton Public Library's mission to build community by promoting lifelong learning, encouraging human connections, and sharing resources. Volunteers must pass a background check and will receive on the job training.
To become an Adult Volunteer, please create an account on Galaxy Digital and complete a background check through the library's introductory slideshow DPL 101: Volunteer Basics. You can also view current library volunteer opportunities. If you have any questions, please contact one of the Adult Volunteer Coordinators. We look forward to working with you!
To become a teen volunteer at the Denton Public Library, register for and attend an orientation session. Times and locations can be found on our events page. Orientations are not intended for those seeking to complete court-ordered community service. For more information, please contact the volunteer coordinator at the location where you'd like to work.
To ask about fulfilling hours for court mandated adult community service please contact the community service volunteer coordinator at the location where you'd like to work.
Denton Public Library is not currently accepting community service volunteers at Emily Fowler or South Branch. Please check back later or contact the library at library@cityofdenton.com if you have any questions.
