Library/Cash Donations
Cash donations are accepted at all branches during open hours with a completed donation form.

Library Monetary Donation Form
Options for cash donations include:

Supporting a specific library programs such as Genealogy, Summer Reading Club, Adult Literacy,
Children's or Adult Programs.

Purchase of an item in memory or in honor of an individual.
Donations of real goods such as artwork, real estate, etc. must be approved by the Denton Public Library Advisory Board.

Item Donations
Denton Public Library welcomes donations of used materials such as books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.
Once donated, items become the property of the Denton Public Library to be used as determined.
The library will not accept items that are not an outright gift.
Library staff make the determination in regards to the ultimate disposition of items.
Uses for donated items include:

Given to the Friends of the Denton Public Library for resale

Given to area charities of organizations

Used for prizes or giveaways in library programs

Added to collections
-
Recycled
The library does not accept donations of textbooks, encyclopedias, back issue magazines or abridged books.
Donations are limited to 2 grocery bags or 2 boxes not to exceed 15x14x20, per day, per household.
Materials donations are only accepted at North Branch Library, 3020 N. Locust St. during regular open hours.
The Special Collections department at the Emily Fowler Central Library accepts donations of
genealogy materials or print items of historical significance.

Honorary/Memorial Donation
Denton Public Library accepts monetary donations to purchase items in honor or in memory of someone. To make an honorary or memorial donation, fill out the form below and bring it in to any Denton Public Library location.
