If you are unable to visit the department in person, you may request information and copies in writing. Research requests are accepted through mail, fax, and email. Requests are answered in the order of receipt.
If you find a name of interest in the indexes below you can request a copy from the Emily Fowler Central Library by email, mail, or by phone. Your request should include the citation information found in the indexes. If you need to turn one of the indexes because it is displaying sideways use the Ctrl, Shift, + key combination.

Records transcribed by Vinita Davis of the Denton County Genealogical Society and represent 8000 probate county birth records, i.e. delayed birth records from 1870-1900. The records became available with the establishment of Social Security which required a recipient to prove age. Contact the Denton County Clerkâs office for copies.
